BRIEF: Reserve your place ASAP, say TyreSafe

Motor industry and road safety professionals from all sectors are being advised to act quickly to reserve their place at July’s TyreSafe industry briefing.

Held on Thursday, July 18, at the Ardencote Manor Hotel, Warwickshire, attendees will see the launch of campaign materials for October’s tyre safety month.

They can also hear about how they can get involved and support the not-for-profit campaign to help reduce the number of tyre-related accidents on UK roads.

Stuart Jackson, Chairman of TyreSafe, said: “Tyre safety month is a fantastic opportunity for the whole industry to support one key initiative and make a real improvement to safety on our roads.

“This year, we’re unveiling the campaign earlier than ever before to give everyone plenty of opportunity to plan their own local initiatives and make it even bigger and more successful!”

Tyre retailers and manufacturers, car brands, insurers, petrol retailers, fleet operators, breakdown operators, local councils and emergency services have been represented at previous TyreSafe events.

As well as seeing the launch of a new campaign theme, attendees can also order new point of sale and promotional materials, made freely available for the month.

There will also be a new dedicated campaign website and a new dealer locator, giving retailers the opportunity to offer local drivers a free tyre safety check.

Organisations including Cheshire Fire Service, Sussex Police, the Highways Agency and Merityre will present at the event.

“Tyre safety month continues to grow each year, and this occasion is no exception,” added Mr Jackson.

“There’ll be a host of new materials and ways for businesses and other organisations to get involved and I’d urge people to act swiftly in order to secure their place.”

Places at the briefing, commencing at 10.30am, are limited and will be offered free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
