EXPANSION: £7million project ready by July 2014

Hitachi Capital have begun work on their new £7million, 18,500 square-foot regional head office expansion in Wiltshire.

The fleet finance, maintenance management and daily rental solutions company broke ground on the 6.5-acre Trowbridge site with a company-owned digger.

Expected to be completed by July 2014, the expanded offices will help facilitate bespoke commercial vehicle leasing solutions for a wide range of fleets.

The company will focus on everything from small, medium and large vans to HGVs with specialist equipment like cranes and tail lifts.

Jon Lawes, Managing Director of Hitachi Capital Commercial Vehicle Services, said: “The new office building in Trowbridge represents a significant milestone in our history as it is the first time that Hitachi Capital have purchased the freehold for office space anywhere in the world.

“Such a move demonstrates a positive investment and a dedication to the future of our presence and operations in Trowbridge.”
