Europcar UK, a subsidiary of Europcar Group, the European leader in vehicle rental services and a major player in sustainable mobility markets, has added 170 new Volkswagen Crafter panel vans to its commercial fleet.
Reflecting the long-standing partnership between Europcar and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, the addition of the new vans will provide UK businesses with access to the latest automotive innovations for safe and efficient driving. The vehicles will be available from Europcar’s locations across the UK from September.
“The Volkswagen Crafter is a welcome addition to the Europcar commercial fleet”, explained Stuart Russell, Specialist Vehicles Director, Europcar UK Group. “The new model is one of the most practical, economical and safest vans currently on the market and was designed from the ground up to appeal to businesses across various industries.”
Winner of a host of awards, including International Van of the Year 2017[i], the all-new Volkswagen Crafter is the most technically-advanced van on the market thanks to its innovative safety features. The ‘City Emergency Braking and Front Assist’ features prevent or minimise the impact of collisions in traffic, while the parking sensors act as an extra pair of eyes – which is especially useful for someone who may not be used to driving a commercial vehicle.
Powered by an economical 2.0 litre TDI 140 PS engine, the Crafter guarantees fuel efficiency and adaptability in the different driving conditions that businesses require.
