SKILLS: Initiative will help drivers

Motorists are being urged to boost their driving skills in a new online initiative by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA).

Safe Driving for Life is a DSA website designed to help motorists develop their skillset, launched in partnership with publishers TSO.

The website is a ‘one-stop information resource holding useful, interesting and interactive material for learners, experienced drivers, instructors and professional drivers’.

It will be rolled out in four phases; the first phase includes a learners’ section, a Safe Driving for Life shop and practice theory tests for HGVs.

A suitability tool, testing whether people are cut out to be an advanced driving instructor, is also included.

The remaining three phases will be launched by August, with the website due to be developed beyond that dependant on users’ needs and interests.

You can visit the website by clicking here.
