UPGRADED: New and improved Suzuki Swift

Suzuki are enriching the Swift range with cosmetic upgrades, better economy and two new models as part of their 2013 specification update.

A 4×4 five-door 1.2-litre and five-door 1.6-litre Sport have been added, while the 1.3-litre DDiS model has reduced emissions and boosted consumption to 101g/km and 72.4mpg respectively.

All Swift models receive some minor styling refreshments, including a new design front bumper and grille, and silver detailing to the lower front bumper.

For added safety, a new LED-type high level brake lamp has also been added, while the interior features new black design seat fabric.

The three grades – SZ2, SZ3 and SZ4 – continue for the revised model.

Standard specification for the SZ2 includes front passenger airbag deactivation, electric front windows, remote central locking, electric heated door mirrors, MP3 capability and multi-function steering wheel.

New design 15-inch wheel covers are now also included on the grade.

SZ3 adds air conditioning, Bluetooth, integrated audio unit with music streaming, 16-inch alloy wheels and front fog lamps.

Meanwhile, SZ4 includes LED daytime running lights, power folding mirrors, automatic air conditioning, electric rear windows, rear privacy glass, keyless start, automatic headlamps and cruise control.

Suzuki have sold more than 2.5million Swifts worldwide since May 2005 – including 85,000 in the UK – with the latest model launched in 2010.

All Swift models – apart from Sport – are included in Suzuki’s recently-extended VAT Free offers, with prices starting from £8,999.
