North American Transportation Company switches entire fleet of 1,350 trucks and all service operations
over to Petro-Canada Lubricants.

Petro-Canada Lubricants, a Suncor business, has been appointed by Challenger, one of Canada’s largest privately owned transportation and logistics companies, as their exclusive heavy duty engine oil provider. The new multi-year partnership agreement comes from a proven product performance record, advanced solutions and service and support that go beyond expectations.

“We made the commitment to Petro-Canada Lubricants for two reasons,” says Chris Iveson, director of maintenance, Challenger. “We chose the DURON-E XL 10W-30 fuel economy product based on our confidence in the advanced engine protection technology. Secondly, and equally important to us, is how Petro-Canada Lubricants stood out as an innovative supplier that could do more, acting as a true partner for the Challenger business.”

The multi-year agreement was formed with the goal of enhancing overall fleet engine performance and improving fuel economy. In support of this effort, all Challenger locations have been converted to DURON-E XL 10W-30.

“Challenger is a company at the forefront of the transportation industry, aligning only with the best products and services available,” explains Howard McIntyre, vice president, Lubricants, Suncor. “We’re proud to partner with Challenger and are committed to helping them in their ongoing drive to deliver the best possible service and superior value to their customers.”

As an integrated partner, Petro-Canada Lubricants will play a key role in ongoing monitoring, maintenance and technical support, as well as trial opportunities to continually raise the bar for performance and innovation.
