JOB: New Director of Contract Hire, Mark Howell

Leading independent commercial vehicle hire company Burnt Tree have announced Mark Howell as their new Director of Contract Hire.

He has more than 30 years’ experience in the multi-temperature and commercial vehicle contract hire sector, developing long-term relationships with leading supermarkets, restaurant chains and distributors.

Mr Howell said he has great ambitions for the new Contract Hire Division.

“Burnt Tree, with its outstanding reputation for quality and service, was the obvious choice for me.

“I’m looking forward to developing this new division of the business and applying my skills and knowledge to building a team of key industry sales personnel to sit alongside the already professional management and operational teams here at Burnt Tree.”

Burnt Tree is the UK’s largest independent commercial vehicle rental company, offering the widest range of vehicles in the industry.

They operate a 15,000-strong fleet out of 18 sites across England, Scotland and Wales and last year invested more than £70million in their fleet.

Richard Metcalfe, Chief Executive of Burnt Tree Vehicle Rental, said: “Mark boasts an impressive track record of success, which includes taking Carrier Transicold from third position to undisputed market leader and transforming Euroway into the successful business that led to its subsequent acquisition by Ryder last year.
