BENCHMARK: 650S sprints 0-60mph in 3.0seconds
McLaren have revealed the performance figures of their new 650S, ahead of its imminent Geneva Motor Show debut.
Capable of accelerating 0-60mph in just 3.0seconds, and 0-125mph in 8.4seconds, the supercar – now in production – is available in Coupe and Spider variants.
It boasts a top speed of 207mph, alongside optimised aerodynamics, and enhanced handling and high-speed balance, while returning 24.2mpg and CO2 emissions of 275g/km.
Mike Flewitt, Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Automotive, said: “Driving excitement is at the absolute heart of the McLaren 650S.
“Of course the performance figures are important, and they help boost excitement.
“But they’re only part of the story.
“This is a car that’s about feel as well as measurement.”
“[The McLaren 650S is] a new benchmark in pure driving excitement.”

Standard specification on the 650S includes carbon ceramic brakes, IRIS satellite navigation, Bluetooth, DAB, wireless tethering, audio streaming and voice control.
Optional kit extends to fixed-back carbon racing seats, based on the lightweight design found in the McLaren P1, rear parking camera and extended carbon fibre interior.
“The McLaren 650S represents 50years of road and racing car know-how,” added Mr Flewitt.
“Everything we’ve learnt from the 12C and the McLaren P1 has gone into this car, creating a car with the widest breadth of capabilities of any production supercar.
“It’s also a new benchmark in pure driving excitement.”
