New contract to supply 18 Caddy vans to Applebridge Construction
Will they house all these vans in a caddy-shack?
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has secured a fleet contract to supply Applebridge Construction with 18 Caddy vans, which will be used to maintain work sites across Yorkshire and the North East of England.
Applebridge offers a range of civil engineering services to the construction industry; when it came to replacing support vehicles for its daily operations, the Volkswagen Caddy led the field. The Volkswagen Caddy was chosen for its low running costs and reputation for being one of the most reliable vans in its class.
Applebridge has a long-standing relationship with Volkswagen’s Donnelly Van Centre, and its customer service was central to securing the new contract. Transporting materials across the northern counties, it’s essential that the company can rely on the Van Centre network for dedicated support to keep its vans on the road.
The aftersales service from Volkswagen will ensure the construction team can access any Van Centre across the brand’s extensive UK network. The aftercare support offers added peace-of-mind to the business, with a comprehensive 100,000 mile three-year warranty, and free roadside assistance for the first three years.
Phillip Hughes, construction director at Applebridge Construction ltd, commented: “Keeping our teams on the road across our regional offices is vital to maintaining our business. When looking at replacing our fleet we took into consideration vehicle quality, aftercare service and whole life costs. Volkswagen had the winning formula.”
